I have seen various reviews on Netbooks. Some good and some bad on the Acer brand and others and after much research and review beginning with the reason I needed and wanted a Netbook to to reading reviews on Amazon. first of all I needed a Netbook because my Dell Inspiron 1720 (17in.) was becoming heavy and cumbersome in comparison to the reason I carry a laptop with me everywhere besides being a "geek" A friend of mine actually received their Netbook gift from Amazon and it was an 8 in Acer with a 3 cell battery. Well after seeing and trying his out I determined I definitely wanted one but I didn't want an 8 in. as the screen was too small and the keyboard wasn't full size.
So I have been to Staples, Bestbuy and other retail giants and finally after grocery shopping one day at Walmart I came across this one. So I tried it out. I found it to be very useful that it has 2GB and VISTA preloaded. It comes with a trial of Microsoft's Office suite as well as Works preloaded. So basically it does what I need to! I need to do homework and access the Internet. I think people buy these Netbooks forgetting that the intention of the invention was to access the Internet and not to run huge programs or store huge programs.
I have watched streaming video and Youtube and even watched DVDs on my lil Acer. Once i deleted program I didn't need or want and cleaned up the files and bugs if you will it ran like a charm. The only problem I had was deleting the preloaded Mcaffee program but I got it done and it does run better.
I would recommend this product! |

| I purchased the Acer Aspire One 751h-1401 and it is a great piece of art. I am very impressed with the quality and features of this Product. I purchased at Wal-Mart on special for $298.00+$20Tax, included one year parts and labor warranty. Trouble-free to set and great Key board, full size. It has a 3 cell Battery which lasted about 3.5 hours working straight on it running multi- programs. Wow, this little thing is amazing. It has all the basic programs you need to be on the go. I researched several mini net books and this one caught my eye because is 11.6" vs. 10.1" Screen. For the price you can't beat it, Acer Aspire One AO751h-1401 White 11.6 2GB 250GB 3Cell VHB 11.6" Notebook ,(Vista Home Basic) 5 in 1 digital media reader, 3 cell battery, best of all Windows Vista, most netbooks run on Win XP, which eventually will go away..... Great Product, don't wait! Run out to get yours. You will love It.!!!!! |

| I just picked this little Netbook up from WalMart for $288.88 on sale/rollback. So far, I love this little thing! It is a lot faster than I anticipated, even running Vista Basic. I have movies, music, and a game on this and its running great. Go buy it! |

I have had my netbook for a few months now. I really like it. I bought the bigger size because it is more like the full size keyboard on my laptop.
I really like the way you can enlarge the screen size by using the touch pad. I'm still figuring out some stuff on it. I really only use it to surf the web, but I plan on using the built in webcam real soon to communicate with my daughter and grandson who live out of state.
I guess the only thing that was frustrating about it at first was all of the pre-loaded software it came with. All of that stuff really slows it down. Fortunately, my husband is an IT specialist and cleaned off all of the extra stuff for me. It runs alot faster now. By the way, he hates Vista. He really wishes I had ordered one with XP, but I wasn't paying attention when I ordered it.
All in all, it serves its purpose well. I am very pleased with it. |
Not a screamer, but a lot for the money

I bought this for my wife. She decided to dump her big Dell D630 for a netbook. She tried a few 10" models but didn't like the smaller keyboards and the screen was a little small. This has a full size keyboard and the screen is just large enough. It's still very compact and light. It came with Vista Basic and I put Windows 7 on it.
The 250GB disk and 2GB ram is awesome. The 1.3 atom slows things down a bit for loading video and such, but not too much. For web/email/MS Office it's perfect for the price. The battery life is about 3-4 hours.
I paid $299. Outstanding value for the money. |
