It ‘a little glimpse at all the output of the new version of Ubuntu Eee, a particular version of Ubuntu Linux designed specifically for EeePC.

In addition to support for Intel Atom, this new release seems to have corrected all the bugs that required manual corrections (shoutdown not complete internal microphone not working, etc.) and can now provide default revolutionary interface Netbook Remix, the distro from Canonical output at year end, designed specifically for netbooks.

Among the novelties of this new Ubuntu Eee 8.04.1 are (full changelog here):

* Kernel-based changes Adam
* Support for Asus Eee 700, 900, 900A, 901, 1000 and 1000H
* Space occupied by about 1.8 GB (hence usable on Asus Eee 2G Surf)
* Interface Netbook Remixabilitata default
* Full support for devices of Asus Eee

The distributions can also install from USB stick (well obviously from a CD / DVD) by following the instructions on the official site of the project to burn the image on a USB stick is also available utility for Windows XP / Vista.

I do not feel Netbook Remix for a while, but I have fond memories of its graphical interface, I’m already downloading this new Ubuntu EEE, I can not wait to try it on my EeePC 1000H.
