First products start to come with Intel platform Pine Trail. In the last hours the Chinese market has shown the first netbook and the first PC all-in-one feature, respectively, Atom processor N450 and Atom D510.
PC all-in-one is called K1850 and has a 18.5 inch screen (not touch screen), a 250GB disk, 2GB of RAM, a DVD burner and a Wifi card. The new D510 dual core Atom will have performance too distant from those of the current Atom 330 (dual core), but will provide tremendous energy savings through the integration of the graphic industry and the memory controller into a single chip.
At the moment we have no information on the selling price of K1850, it ‘is clear when it will actually be available because Intel has not yet set a firm date for the arrival of the new hardware platform.
The other product which has been discussed in the last hours is a Netbook, the Kenade K116. This is a 11.6 inches, with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450, 1GB of RAM, 250GB disk, VGA out, Ethernet, WiFi N, three USB ports, a 1.3 Mpixel webcam and bluetooth/3G optional.
The video card will be the classic GMA500 for the occasion “push” to 200Mhz and not 133Mhz like in current solutions, while the battery is a model polymer battery. All dimensions should be 281 × 198×26 mm and 1.3 kg in weight. The same company also presented the Kenade K133, an ultraportable with 13.3-inch screen and dual core Atom D510.
These new products will most likely never arrived in the West but, to all intents and purposes, will be among the first on which you can try the new Intel Pine Trail.
