By admin

Just in time for CES 2010, Intel announced the next generation of Atom processors are the first representatives in the Atom N450 (single core netbooks) and Atom D410 (single core nettop / desktop entry level) and D510 (dual core) .

Processors in this series are characterized 45nm architecture and energy consumption reduced by 20% over the previous generation.

Characterized by the frequency of 1.66GHz (with 512KB L2 cache), the Atom N450 is the replacement for the N280 and is now able to handle 720p HD video thanks to the integrated graphics chip.

The D510 is instead a dual core 1.66GHz with 1MB of L2 cache that goes down to 512 KB for the single core version. We just have to wait for CES to see the first Netbook that equip these processors.
