From next March 2010, manufacturers will eventually provide more than 1GB of RAM preinstalled in their netbooks. The news comes from fudzilla, which speaks of a recent update to Intel’s development plans for the netbook sector.
2GB of RAM, however, have the approval of the home only in products with Atom processor N470 (1.83 Ghz, also planned for March) and not the least performing N450 (scheduled for January 3).
Magazines with state guidelines for the size of the disks (SSD from 20 to 32GB HDD and up to a maximum of 160GB) for the diagonal of display (from 7 to 10.2 inch) and batteries, according to Intel not more than 4 cells. Especially the choice to advise Moblin Linux operating system (though of course remain available Xp and Seven) and raise the maximum cost of products up to $ 349, depending on configuration.
The whole thing is rather odd when you consider that the new netbook with Windows 7 (available from a few days in Italy) will mount already 250GB, 11.6-inch screens, 6-cell battery, and in some cases, 2GB of RAM preinstalled .
