Lenovo SmartBook Android in Photos

Pictures and rumors are circulating about a new SmartBook, manufactured by Lenovo and equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor, which offers Android operating system. At the upcoming CES in Las Vegas will be unveiled further details.

Qualcomm and Lenovo have joined in the development and finalization of a new SmartBook, which premiered a few weeks ago by Mr Paul Jacobs, Qualcomm, based on the young Google’s Android operating system.

This is a prototype that, probably, will see its official launch at the upcoming CES 2010 in Las Vegas scheduled for 7-10 January. Some rumors specified that this new device will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 1 GHz and will be equipped with various communication tools, from Wi-Fi to reach a 3G module.

Autonomy will play a key role and should permit continued use of the system for about eight hours. Furthermore, the design will follow the classic stylistic choices Lenovo and will install a keyboard with 6 classic lines. The profile heralds ultrathin thickness particularly reduced. But one of the more juicy news, especially for users and for professionals, is to spread some images that portray the phantom prototype running the Google operating system at home.

The SmartBook are special devices that combine the traits of the aesthetic and functional Netbook with features typically associated with smartphones, for example, the state always-on. Future Android-based device will be launched Lenovo’s U.S. operator AT & T by early next year. The same operator will provide 3G connectivity prior to the execution of a subscription.
