Windows 7 is here. Super. And how do I get the new operating system is now without an optical drive on my netbook? Or so many now think probably netbook owners who have interest in Microsoft’s new Windows. To not just lose that audience to their competitors or to work forever with XP, Microsoft has made a small program for download that will help Windows 7 from a USB stick on virtually any netbook (or other PC can boot from USB sticks installed) on.

The Windows 7 USB / DVD Download Tool is meant for customers who purchase Windows 7 on Microsoft’s online store as a download version. The program is able to copy from the Microsoft store downloaded ISO files or compressed packets to a USB stick or burn them onto DVDs. The whole course will also work with ISO files from other sources so that we could create, for example, an ISO to a purchased version of Windows 7 on DVD which can then be installed using a USB stick and the tool of choice on the netbook .
