MSI Wind U100 now with Windows 7 & Intel Atom N280

MSI is obviously the potential of its original MSI Wind U100 Netbook well aware and drill the unit so the launch of Windows 7 once more with fresh hardware and software. Under the hood lies an Intel Atom N280 now at 1.66 GHz and a 250 GB hard drive is much larger now blocked as well. The price of the model, called U100-1615W7S is specified with 349 euros.

When you purchase but the customer will have to look more closely, because there is also a variant that stuck in the remains of the Intel Atom N270 and a 3-cell battery. This is called U100-1616W7S and up to date corresponds to the operating system available for Windows XP-based models. The “better” version of MSI Wind U100-1615W7S distinguished by the larger hard drive, faster processor, and the delivery of a standard 6-cell battery. In both cases, Windows is preinstalled 7 Starter.

Color, it remains rather unspannende, there are also the new version only in black or white. Even otherwise changes the skin and not the other equipment will remain the same. Hence the display continues to work with 1024 × 600 pixels and with 1024 MB of RAM is not even bigger. The price difference between the base version with N270 and better output is officially just 10 to 20 euros. Since most customers anyway hopefully pick up the better model, should the recommended price of 349 euros soon fall.
