Netbook MSI Wind U210 with AMD Neo in Europe

While still waiting for the arrival in Europe dell ultraportable MSI Wind U200, based on the Intel platform CULV, the Taiwanese company is also ready to issue a new AMD-based variant, called MSI Wind U210.

MSI is preparing to introduce its new laptop “Thin & Light” 12.1-inch MSI Wind U200 also in Europe, at a starting price of 499 euros. The standard configuration will be equipped with an Intel Celeron M processor ULV 723 1.2GHz, 2GB of DDR2 800MHz and a Serial-ATA hard drive 160GB and 5400 rpm. However, following the example of competitors Hewlett-Packard and Packard Bell, the Taiwanese company has decided to also introduce a variant with AMD Yukon.

The model will be specifically called MSI Wind U210, and this suggests that all new version is available with AMD will be identified by 10 as the last two digits. MSI Wind U210 will be equipped with an AMD Athlon Neo MV40, supported by 2GB of DDR2 memory and SATA hard disk 250GB. The LCD screen will keep the same 12-inch diagonal with integrated webcam.

There will be modules Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n wireless connectivity, a Card Reader 4in1 and an audio / video output HDMI digital. The model will be accompanied by a rechargeable lithium ion battery with capacity of 6 cells, and will enjoy the operating system Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition.

MSI Wind U210 will be available in the colors of black and gray to the European price of 449 euros including VAT. Along with this decline, MSI adds another model which differs from the precedent for the integration of 1GB of DDR2 memory, 160GB hard drive and Windows XP Home. This will cost in Europe for 399 euros including VAT.
