I purchased this netbook and I couldn’t be happier. After much research, I decided to go with the LT2503u because of it’s long battery life, light weight, attractive design, comfortable keyboard and key pad, 250 GB hard drive, and reasonable price. It’s perfect for what I need. I was happily surprised at how easy it was to install. Everything was basically set up already – just a few clicks and it was working. I was prepared for hours of set up, but found that this would be great for someone who is not very technical. Additionally, its built in web cam was of a much higher quality than I had anticipated. Even the sound was better than I thought it would be. For such a tiny little thing, it is actually very functional. Compared to other brands’ netbooks, I feel like this Gateway has a good design – particularly in regard to the keyboard and touch pad. On so many of the other netbooks that I considered, these features were tiny, uncomfortable, and barely usable. Do not buy a netbook that does not have a good keyboard/touch pad – you will end up not using it! It was easy to adjust to the LT2503u and I know that I’ll get a lot of good use from it.

I own quite a few computers and I’m what you can consider a technoJunkie. I have a 13 inch Macbook Pro (love Apple), Acer amd phenom II Quad core desktop, the Ipad, a dell inspirion mini, etc. The Macbook serves as my more powerful laptop when I need to do my more data intensive work or require more raw power. This little Thinkpad tho is great for everything else. Streaming video is far more superior then any netbook that I have seen. I know that the x100e has a few different models out there but if you are gonna get any model get the faster cpu. The amd athlon neo x2 processor really does make all the difference. Great keyboard as well. This is a great little laptop and as a fan of thinkpads this is a beauty.
