Just want to start off saying that I do not own this model now. I do own the 1018P which I bought at Best Buy. The 1018P has the 450 cpu, USB 2.0. The difference between the two models is very slight. The newer one the -PU17 has USB 3.0 DDR3, and the 455 Atom Processor.
The older model also has a glossy screen which I also find very anoying. However the touchpad is the best I have ever used. I also own the UL50vg which is a 15.6″ notebook. The touchpad on it is very crappy. In fact I only use a wireless mouse and set the touch pad settings to disable when the mouse is plugged in.
Too bad about this new model as I was looking to up the RAM to 2GB and put a 80 GB SDD in it.
Desired by many netbook: Asus Eee PC 1015PEM. Featuring a Dual Core Atom processor N550, this new ultra portable, in fact, combines the advantages of small size and weight of the netbook with improved performance through increased computational power.
The dual core processor, however, is not going to impact on the autonomy that becomes larger up to 23% (or so says Asus) than any other netbook CPU single core. They become so 10 hours secured by the house and obtained from the ASUS Super Hybrid Engine.
